I am currently working on a long term project photographing clubs and societies.

For many people the membership of a club or society provides a lifetime of shared enjoyment and friendship which go far beyond simple participation. Such organisations provide opportunities - whether that be competing, learning, exercising, travelling, making, sharing, volunteering…the list is almost endless - that provide common ground which builds trust and lasting relationships.

Clubs and societies naturally attract people with similar interests and values creating an environment that is both inspiring and comfortable.

Club events can often become one of life’s best memories.

By documenting a variety of clubs and societies I wish to not only create a record of their existence but also demonstrate how they contribute to the wellbeing of those who they attract.
